Lotfi gets lifted. Trocadero, Paris. Lotfi is a dope rider that I met in France and we sessioned aplenty at Trocadero and Palais Royal. Here’s a quick taste of a nasty double-barrier hippy jump that he pulled off like a boss. Enjoy! Mike

Little slide line, Paris Bercy. I arrived in Paris around noon at the Paris Bercy stop a bit tired and discombobulated, nosing my way my way over to the first place that had food under €5. I grabbed un sandwich jambon gruyère buerre, and looked up to see a pretty massive structure. I never even figured out what it was, but it was surrounded in big steps and there were masses of shortboarders...

In the YouTube Groove
Well I checked out my YouTube insight statistics and lo and behold, I’ve hit some exciting landmarks in the past week! 200,000 total video views 700 subscribers 16,000 channel views 1.5k peak video views in a day ~24,000 views/month I wanted to just post a little something not to toot my horn, but moreso as a way to thank the people have been following along and supporting my skating...

The Macbook Pickle Plot Thickens... Expensively
Well I just got my devis (quote/estimate) from the Apple repair center near campus. Get this - to repair my 13” MBP : 984 £ / $1,390  Is this some kind of bad joke? The worst part is it doesn’t even look like they’ll be touching anything like the hard drive, battery or motherboard. These are the quoted repairs: • Résumé de l’intervention :  Remplacement top...

discoveryofignorance-deactivate asked: I just took the randals off my chop and took them apart. Come to find out the pivot cup hole on both of them are drilled off center! Glad to find out it wasn't a mis-hap with the soda factory.

discoveryofignorance-deactivate asked: Hey man, I love your riding, been following your stuff on youtube and here. I recently got a lambchop on randal 180s and im running 90 88shr barrels all around in it. I dont know if its me, or the cold, or what but the set up just doesnt 'feel right.' I cant be sure by the randals seems to be crooked, or the mounting holes on my chop are off center. I've tried a lot of bushing...

Bhangra Steeze Session - Lac du Bourget, Aix Les Bains, French Alps. Check out a steezy lil edit by my man Loic, a sick french alps rider who invited me out to skate with him and his homies. After a couple days of DH freeride, we chilled it out for some dancing on my last half-day there. This starts with a lick of Alpha crew freeride, followed by myself and Loic Bhangra’ing around next to...

Terrible Macbook Pickle Tragedy
Well, I feel like a royal fool. Last night I was real hungry, so I was snacking on some camembert cheese and cornichon pickles (very french of me) while doing a little tumbling, redditing and looking up directions for how to get to ultimate practice. I set down the cornichon jar, reached for a notebook to scribble down the directions, and in the process spilled said jar and all of its vinegary,...

Culture of Efficiency - France is doing it right
Excuse the lack of photo, but I’ve got to mention something that keeps cropping up and catching my attention. In talking with the French, the all-too-true stereotype that Americans drive big cars (usually solo), live in big houses, and leave a huge footprint is definitely widely believed. And with good reason.  The lifestyle here is absolutely a polar opposite (within reason) to the...
