Definitely farhiie! I’m so sorry to hear about the rider from Singapore who passed away. I’m glad that the trend in longboarding tends to be toward wearing helmets, but there is clearly still some progress to be made. It’s very sad, but hopefully also an effective wake-up call. Ride hard, ride safe!

I asked Kyle Chin about this, he responded:
“We are taking orders for the Nipples and they should be on their way out to shops everywhere momentarily.”
I think that if you want to place an order, just email taco@orangatangwheels.com saying what duro you want and your mailing address, and they’ll probably give you payment info. If you can wait a tiny bit, they’ll be listed on the site and for sale at retailers everywhere real soon :)
It needs to happen, my room is a shit-hole. Thanks to the rain for giving me a little time to finally tidy up a bit before leaving for Colgate.
Definitely! I’ve seen way too many head impacts while longboarding to be able to ride comfortably without a helmet, or even ride comfortably with others who are helmetless. Fortunately, I was wearing a helmet the time I hit my head really hard, and there was a rider at my event who smashed his head on a guard rail, cracking his helmet down the middle and leaving with a concussion. Without a helmet, he would almost certainly be dead now. It’s a very important message to take home…. WEAR A HELMET! It’s better to be sweaty than dead.
And yeah, ultimate is the bomb :) Two awesome sports.
Best,
Mike
