  10. originalrevolutions asked: Okay, no comply 180 slides... HOW? I mean, I don't understand at all, and there are no good videos showing me how to do it (just this one kid that is essentially gloating, and not really showing you anything). So could you give me some pointers? It would be nice if you could answer this privately, too, that way - if you so choose to answer - it will come up in my messages. Thanks, Mike!

No complys are a little weird at first. The two hardest part for me learning them were initiating the slide and bringing it around. For the former, the key is to not try and start right away. I’d recommend actually carving a substantial way around in the direction you’ll be sliding, almost to the point that the board is perpendicular with the road, before stepping off and pushing around with your back foot. A good amount of heel hang helps push it around. The next big thing is to keep your weight forward! This is a little weird at first, cause you’re taking your front foot off, but it allows you to push your back wheels around. If you lean too far back, they stay gripped up and you’ll do an awkward weird twirly thingy and not slide. So carve deep into it, weight over the front of the board, hook the heel, push around after stepping off, and hop back on. I agree, there needs to be a good trick tip video for these. Good luck! I hope this helps :) -Mike

p.s. I answered publicly so more people could see, but I messaged you privately so you’d know I responded.

I’d like to get more into long distance skating, and decided to go for a longer ride today on the Dervish Sama as a workout. I was going more for speed and intensity than total overall distance, and I wanted to choose a route with a good mix of downhill and climbing to work on push and tuck endurance.
